  • Job Journal:  
    • Watch the video, "Illegal Interview Questions", and respond to the following.
      1. Which types of questions are considered "illegal" interview questions to ask a job applicant?
      2. Why are these types of questions off limits during a job interview?
      3. If you are asked one of these questions, what would be an appropriate way to respond?
    • Watch the video, "10 Questions You Should Ask in An Interview", and respond to the following.
      1. As a person interviewing for a job, why is it recommended that you ALWAYS ask a question at the end of the interview?
      2. Of the questions suggested in the video, which question or questions would you be most comfortable asking the person interviewing you?  Why?
      3. Think of three additional questions that you could ask at the end of the interview that were not included in the video?

 Important Information/Announcements:
  • We will  have a Unit 2 exam on Tuesday of next week.  You will receive a review guide Monday.  The exam will cover Resumes, Interview Etiquette, Interview Questions, Cover Letters, Follow Up Emails, and Pre-Employment Tests. 
  • Progress Reports will be mailed next week.  Please check your grades and email me any missing work that you want graded.
  • Tomorrow in class we will have a guest speaker from Robert Morris College.  The speaker will be talking about social media and digital footprints - which is what the next unit in class will be focused on.  Please arrive to class on time and be a respectful audience.
